Patients are seen by appointment only.
Appointments are generally Monday through Friday. Please call 303-810-6029 to schedule an appointment with Dr. Beebe. We currently see patients at the VRCC Imaging Center in Englewood, CO. We encourage you to discuss options with your family veterinarian, who may refer your pet to a dental specialist. However, you can also request to see a specialist if you have concerns about your pet's oral health.
Before You Arrive
To help us best assist your pet's oral condition, we ask that you follow these guidelines:
- If anesthesia is planned, please do not feed your pet after 10pm the night before your pet's appointment; water is OK.
During the Visit
In order to obtain a thorough oral history and examination, please allow 30-60 minutes during the first visit.
Please make a list of (or bring) any medications, nutritional supplements, and chew items that are currently being used or have been used in the past on your pet. We will want to know what diet your pet is being fed. Please do not rely on medical records for this information.
If possible, please bring a copy of your pet's medical records from his/her veterinarian for us to keep. It is very important that we have this information to provide the best treatment options. It's always better to be over-prepared for your pet's appointment.
Pre-Anesthetic Procedure Instructions
Your pet’s health is our concern. We recommend that you:
- Do not feed your pet after 10 pm the night before the procedure.
- Water does not need to be withheld.
- Give all scheduled medications on the morning of the procedure (unless otherwise instructed).
All patients must be picked up by 4:30 pm unless otherwise arranged.
While your pet is with us, it is very important that we have a contact number (cell phone or pager) where you can be reached in case we have any question.
After the Visit
All home care instructions are typed for your convenience.
Please do not hesitate to call Dr. Beebe or his technicians if you have any questions, concerns or comments. Remember that the dentistry department is available Monday through Friday. However, you may call VRCC 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and speak with someone. We have a terrific emergency service that will help answer questions when Dentistry is unavailable.
Cancellations/Rescheduling
If you find it necessary to change or cancel your appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance by calling 303-810-6029. By contacting us to reschedule or cancel an appointment, we can let other patients have that appointment time. We keep a cancellation list for clients/patients to come in sooner as appointments become available. If you do not show for an appointment and have not called to cancel at least 24 hours in advance, you may be responsible for a cancellation fee.
What to Expect
Prior to any procedure, Dr. Beebe examines your pet and discusses all possible treatment options. All questions about dentistry, anesthesia, and pain control will be answered. An estimate of treatment cost will be given. Apex Dog and Cat Dentistry works closely with your family veterinarian in order to provide the best outcome for your pet. Details of each consultation and procedure along with further recommendations will be forwarded to your pet’s family doctor in a timely manner. Ultimately, you will be satisfied with a healthier, happier pet.
Located within Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado (VRCC), we work alongside other specialists in cardiology, internal medicine, and anesthesia when needed to address any anesthetic concerns.
